Comments: Love these photographs, exactly what I wanted, very gothic to keep in line with the gothic aspects in the book. I will never forget what I read about fashion being not only the clothing and accessories, its about the whole package, that I cannot quote exactly, but it was Alexander McQueen. The Morlocks are described as the large red eyes being overwhelming, but I did not want to remove from the clothing too much, so I decided to use stage make-up with an edit of red contacts. The oversized jumper took from the floaty sense of the Eloi and used the lustre of the velvet to its advantage to continue the light reflective image throughout, included with the gothic black colouring it brings a creature-like aspect to the clothing, which is exactly as described in the book. The size also links in very well to predictions of the time, and the high-waisted trousers I travelled from S/S predictions, I predicted that the high-waisted trousers would continue, so I decided to use that. I love these photos, and I cannot wait to see the next set!
