These are the final designs from my 'Future Beauty' project from St. Martins, I chose to look at how past eras have explored the future. I liked the idea of using H.G.Wells' The Time Machine (sold here) as a basis for the project. I explored both the Eloi and Morlock and how they inspired me and began to develop initial ideas for both. I preferred the freedom the Morlock designs gave and so continued with them. As the enddeadline arrived, I decided on the best Name and season for the concept; Juxtaposition for A/W '11. These designs shown are the end two concepts I designed for the project and I will continue to make one of them ( I chose the design on the right because I dont have the facilities to work with metal, and without that the design on the left would just be a jumpsuit, so a tad boring). Stay tuned for the developing costume.
P.S. sorry about the terrible scans, they are A3 and I only had an A4 scanner, so its put together on my mac.
